YOUR ONLINE JAPANESE TUTOR
Hello, I'm Junichiro.
You can call me Jun.
I'm a Japanese tutor from Japan. I teach private, one-to-one Japanese lessons online through Google Meet, with English explanations and Japanese practice at your level.
My lessons are for complete beginners through advanced learners, including conversation practice for people who have already passed JLPT N1. I prepare original materials around each student's interests, mistakes and goals.

How I came to teaching
At 19, I moved to Tokyo and spent four years studying acting. I also began posting on TikTok. Connecting with people around the world inspired me to become a Japanese tutor, and I started teaching in early 2025.
My students have included learners from several regions, including the United States, England, Scotland, Spain, Russia and the Netherlands. Anime, manga, food, television and everyday culture can become conversation topics, alongside the Japanese you need for your own life.

Ask about your goals and scheduleIs this the right way for you to learn?
Private lessons suit learners who want to speak with a teacher, ask questions in English and receive materials shaped around their progress. Regular attendance and independent review help you get more from the sessions. Lessons do not guarantee an exam score or a particular speed of progress.
If you prefer flexible independent practice, the Junichiro Japanese self-study web app provides sentence exploration, AI-supported practice, saved expressions and review. It is a separate subscription at US$25/month before tax. Live tutoring is not included, and AI answers are not all individually checked by me. Check the app's current pricing and trial conditions.
